About SCPSDI

Why choose SCPSDI Programs?

The training of qualified dive team members is not an overnight process. Once the divers are properly trained and qualified to perform diving operations, the team must continue with training in different types of environments and situations. Our instructors will put your team in real life situations with the safety of the diver first and foremost. The training they receive will enable them to make sound decisions with regards to the overall goal of the operation. Sometimes, the only choices are to “Abort the Dive” or “No Dive”.

The turnover rate can have an effect on the team and how well they work together. If members of your team are not trained together there is a high likelihood of an accident due to poor diver to diver communication. Each team member who completes our training will have the confidence in knowing that their dive buddy has the same training. Therefore, members can focus on the task at hand.

World Recreational Scuba Training Council

The World Recreational Scuba Training Council (WRSTC) is dedicated to the worldwide safety of the recreational diving public. As such, one of the WRSTC's primary goals is the development of worldwide minimum training standards. The establishment of globally recognized and implemented standards is a valuable asset in addressing local and national regulatory issues.

The WRSTC is the mechanism for worldwide cooperation in reaching international consistency in minimum course training standards. Member Councils of the World Recreational Scuba Training Council recognize and accept responsibility for the promotion of worldwide safety of the recreational diving public, international consistency of training standards and worldwide credibility of the WRSTC.

The WRSTC's membership is restricted to national or regional councils comprised of the individual training organizations who collectively represent at least 50% of the annual diver certifications in the Member Council's country or region.

Below are agencies that belong to the WRSTC;
PDIC - The Professional Diving Instructors Corporation
IDEA - International Diving Educators Association
PADI - Professional Association of Diving Instructors
SDI - Scuba Diving International
SSI - Scuba Schools International
YMCA - YMCA SCUBA

S.C. Public Safety Divers Intl. is a Universal Referral Program site. The Universal Referral Program was developed in 1998 through the cooperative efforts of PDIC, IDEA, NASDS, NAUI, SSI and YMCA for the benefit of the scuba diving industry. The customer is the most important part of any business. Good businesses give customers what they want with quality.
