Aquatic Educators Int'l (AEI)
Primary Instructor (P-Inst.) and Master Instructor Trainer (M-I.T.) Course(s)
The Complete Professional Instructor Course:
- Licensed/Certified to independently teach Public Safety and Recreational Swimming Programs
- Adhere to AEI's "Code of Conduct"
MASTER INSTRUCTOR RATING:
- M-I.T. 21 years of age or older (if under 21, contact AEI Headquarters for age wavier information)
- M-I.T. Pass both AEI's Instructor/Instructor Trainer written exam with 90% or better and Water Skills Exam
- M-I.T. Yearly Licensing Fee: $85 per year or $150 for a two year license
- AEI M- I.T. Course: $1,000.00 (40.0 hour course includes all course materials, student manuals, ASHI CPR-Pro Instructor Rating and first years licensing fee)
PRIMARY INSTRUCTOR RATING:
- P-Inst. 18 years of age or older (if under 18, contact AEI Headquarters for age wavier information)
- P-Inst. Pass both the written and skills exam
- P-Inst. Yearly Licensing Fee: $65 year or $100 for a two year license
- AEI P-Inst. Course: $800.00 (30.0 hour course includes all course materials, manuals ASHI CPR-Pro Instructor Rating and first years licensing fee)
All AEI Instructors MUST:
- Adhere to AEI's "Code of Conduct"
- Maintain "ASHI CPR-Pro" Instructor Rating
- Attend yearly update seminar(s) via online or in-person
- Pay Yearly Licensing Fee for Current Rating
- Actively "Promote" SCPSDI/AEI Programs and Courses
- Offer 2 free children/youth swim lessons/programs per year
AEI Inst/I.T. Upgrades and Cross-Over Courses:
- AEI P-Inst. to M-I.T. Upgrade: $600.00 (8.0 hour course includes all course materials, manuals, ASHI CPR-Pro Instructor Rating and first years licensing fee)
- AEI P-Inst. Cross-Over: $550.00 (24.0 hour course includes all course materials, manuals, ASHI CPR-Pro Instructor Rating and first years licensing fee)
ASHI CPR-Pro Challenge:
- If you are a "Current" CPR/First Aid Instructor with the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), you can challenge the ASHI CPR-Pro Instructor Course; a non-refundable challenge fee $55.00
- If you do not pass the challenge test, you will be required to take the complete ASHI CPR-Pro Instructor Course
